Coming Soon! A New Amur Leopard Exhibit

New Home for the Leopards
The Staten Island Zoo’s Amur Leopards will relocate to a new, spacious outdoor exhibit. At 4,500 square feet and three stories high, it will be one of the largest leopard exhibits in the nation.

A Rare Breed
Amur Leopards are the most endangered of all the big cats - fewer than 50 exist in the wild. The Staten Island Zoo is proud to join cooperating organizations in a “Species Survival Plan” (SSP) to breed and sustain these leopards in captivity, and possibly save the species from extinction.
